Apoyo lagoon is the biggest Nicaragua's lagoon, its name, Lake "Alt-poyec", means "Healthy Water" and derives from the kind of its water. Apoyo lagoon gives hospitality to many species of animals and plants, some of this are endemic of Nicaragua and it preerve the most part of its natural resources.

Its warm and cristal clear waters, which reach to a depth of 200 mt, invite you to swim or to enjoy other actuatic pastimes.

The luxurious tropical vegetation alongside its beaches make this lake unique in its genre.
