The cathedral of Leon, according to the cosmic conception, is divided into three levels: lower level or intermediete world, intermediate level or world and superior level or sky. In the lower level there are seven undergrounds since they have been built until nowadays have been used as crypts.
Between the peolpe buried in the cathedral there are bishops and priests of the diocese like Simenon Pereira y Castellon, bishop during the early years of the century. In the church there are also the remains of the immortal father of Castellana literature, Rubèn Diario, and the musician Josè de la Cruz Mena.
In the intermediate level you can see the five aisles of the cathedral with its side altars and the high one. On the walls is displayed the Via Crucis, the ancient confessionals and the choir of Cordobès.
On the superior level there are five terraces and, according to Julia Valle Castillo, you can find the most pure Baroque in this side of the cathedral. From this level tourists can appreciate not only the domes, the pinnacles, the banisters and the spires of the cathedral, but also the churches, the baked roofs and the colonial style houses of the historical center.
