El Coco is the first beach one encounters travelling south from San Juan del Sur.

The road that goes to San Juan del Sur is asphalted only in the initial part, the rest is in earth.It takes roughly 20 minutes to go along it from San Juan del Sur to El Coco beach.

This huge beach, like the majority in this area,has a very thin sand and is very peaceful. The place is definitely relaxing, and usually the water is calm and so this beach is also suitable for children.

The "Parque Maritimo" ( Ocean Park) is situated on El Coco beach.It's a tourist centre which includes a restaurant and Undoubtedly, El Coco beach is a magnificent place to spend some days in a relaxing atmosphere next to the sea, enjoying to the upmost its natural environment.
