San Juan River

Where Río San Juan links with Río Indio and together they confront the Caribbean Sea is where you can find the town of San Juan del Norte. At the time of the English occupation it was known as Greytown.

It is one of the oldest villages in Nicaragua of great historical importance as a step required to access the San Juan River.
