This little town, far from Panamericana only 15 Km, had its wonderful period before the building of Panama Canal, when it was used as port of shipment of gold-diggers coming from Rio St. Juan with the U.S.A. West Coast as destination.
Thanks to its big waves, not stong in the bay as in the near beaches, it is a famous surfing resort.
It is possible to eat fish, crustaceans and other tasty specialities in characteristic and cheap restaurants hearing the sweet sound of the sea and to spend evenings in the beautiful and small snack bar that overlooks directly the beach.
